Onions
Onions supply only minimal amounts of nutrients compared to other fresh vegetables. The most dominant mineral in onions are:
Potassium - Helps to promote healthy heart muscles.
Phosphorus - Removes acids from the bloodstream and promotes repair of the nervous system.
Iodine – Regulates weight control and mental development.
Nickel – Assists the utilization of sugar.
Silicon – Promotes better blood circulation and prevents nervous and mental fatigue.
Onions are available in all shapes, sizes, and potencies. All onions contain natural antiseptic oils such as: allyl disulphate and cycloallin and these have shown to be beneficial in reducing blood clots within the veins and blood vessels. Onions also supply a fair amount of the heart muscle vitamin E. Onion is one of the few sources of these natural antiseptic oils.
