Radish is an excellent source of the mineral Chlorine and this promotes the digestion of protein foods, as chlorine foods stimulate the production of hydrochloric acid, the vital ingredient for protein digestion.  Radish are also valuable cleansers of the respiratory system as they supply good amounts of the mineral Chlorine and that assists the elimination of acid-mucus poisons from the body.  Radish also contains volatile ether that will promote elimination of mucus from the body.  A few chopped Radishes with the meal will also be beneficial for protection from infection. 

 

Radish is also a good source of the mineral Silicon and that is beneficial for maintenance of good teeth, healthy hair and clear vision.  Silicon foods are also a good preventative of nervous exhaustion and mental fatigue.  The vitamin C content of Radish is very good and promotes such functions as good eyesight, healing of damaged skin tissue and regulation of cholesterol.  The strong taste of Radish is due to the abundance of the minerals chlorine and Sulphur.  Add a few Radishes to your next salad.
